School Board Members Wanted
The Sacred Heart School Board is seeking new members. The Sacred Heart School Board is an advisory committee for the administration of the school. A member's term commitment is three school years. If you are interested, please send a letter stating your qualifications to the Board via the school office.
Volunteer to Serve on the Sacred Heart School Board
The Sacred Heart School Board is an advisory body that assists in the operation and administration of Sacred Heart School. Simply put, the school board provides school administrators with extra eyes, minds, and hearts with which to consider issues confronting the school. In the past, the school board has offered advice on issues such as the financial health of the school, student and faculty recruitment and retention, and policies regarding the acceptance of incoming students.

Board members serve three-year terms. Each year, the terms of a handful of board members expire and they must be replaced. Those interested should submit letters of interest to Deacon Young and Father Dariusz. As they deem appropriate, Deacon Young and Father Dariusz will forward those expressions of interest to the board as whole for action.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Participation in the school board requires no special knowledge, skills, or abilities.

In general, the board attempts to maintain a well-balanced profile. We enjoy the participation of individuals who work inside and outside of their homes. A variety of educational backgrounds are appreciated. From time to time, those with a background in finance, law, technology, or education are particularly valuable.
Other Requirements
There are no special requirements associated with participation in the board.

The board meets one evening each month (currently, the board meets at 5:30 PM on the second Tuesday of each month). In addition, there are usually opportunities for board members to support the school between meetings. Participation in the board generally consumes less than 5 hours a month.

This opportunity does not involve direct contact with students. Volunteers are not required to undergo a background investigation or participate in the VIRTUS program.
