Dear Parents, Guardians, and Family Members,

On behalf of Reverend Darius Dudzik, Pastor, Sacred Heart School, and of all the personnel of Sacred Heart School, we welcome you and your child/children to a new school year. We are privileged to be able to work with you, since together we are called and empowered to educate your child/children to the best of our abilities.

Sacred Heart’s student body is diverse, spanning a range of ages, abilities, races, and social backgrounds. From this diversity we draw strength and perspective. We believe that diversity must be tempered with standards, and at Sacred Heart School we hold our students to high academic and citizenship standards. Our school had been reaccredited by National Catholic Schools Association and by the Connecticut State Department of Education, signifying that we are dedicated and successful in accomplishing our school’s mission, philosophy, and the educational standards expected of our Faculty and Staff. By our students’ adherence to wearing uniform dress, their demonstrated responsibility to become good and honorable citizens of our community, and their demonstrated achievement of the high academic standards which we instill, Sacred Heart’s Students are youth of whom we may all be proud.

Our school’s Staff readily give of themselves, their time, and their talents to make Sacred Heart School a home away from home for your child/children and a platform from which your child/children will be launched into a lifelong love of learning.

Over the course of the summer, some changes have been made within our school to accommodate our enrollment and programmatic needs. The Art Classroom and the Band Classroom have been moved to a newly renovated room next to the cafeteria. Some of our Faculty will be beginning new assignments for this new school year. Mrs. Gail Facas will teach Grade 5, Ms. Cathi Santangelo will teach Grade 3. Mrs. Tina Shine will be the Teacher Assistant within Grade 5, and Mrs. Marion Jackson will be a RISEN Teacher Assistant within Grade 6. Our Pre-Kindergarten Program will be located within the main school building.

We wish you a wonderful 2007-2008 school year. Whenever you have questions, concerns, or the need to share of gain information, please do not hesitate to call or visit the school office (445-0611). Wishing you the Peace and Love of Christ,

Deacon David Young
