The option of the 1 1/2-hour-delayed opening or a no school announcement will be given by local radio and TV after 5:45 AM. When the 1 1/2 hour delay is used and if travel conditions fail to improve; it is possible that school may not open. This message will be carried on local radio stations by 7:00 AM.

The announcements will also be carried on:

• WFSB Channel 3
• WTNH Channel 8
• WVIT-TV Channel 30

Usually you will see the announcement on CHANNEL 4 first.

On delayed openings, transportation will follow normal routes and busses will run 1 1/2 hours later than usual. Morning Preschool will be cancelled and school will begin at 10:30 AM. Morning Sunshine Club will begin at the regular time of 6:45 AM.

When school is dismissed on half-days due to inclement weather the busses will come at 1:00 PM. Announcements for early dismissal will be on the radio and TV by 11:30 AM.

Morning Preschool will dismiss at the usual time of 11:25 AM, but there is no bus transportation home.

Parents are responsible to pick up their Pre-K children on days school is closed early due to bad weather.

Sunshine students must be picked up by one hour after school is dismissed, by 2:05 PM.

All after school activities including night basketball will not be held if there is no school or if there is an early dismissal.
